Glendale Community College begins its semester Saturday at the main and north campuses with a mix of online and in-person learning.
A limited number of in-person classes will be offered, including labs and career technical education courses. Some classes will be a mix of in-person and online activities.
Other classes will be held exclusively online. Some online classes will not have set class times, but will have all coursework, learning activities and assignments accessible online with the instructor available for questions. Other online classes will be held at set time with the students interacting with the instructor and each other via video chat.
Anyone on campus must wear a face mask, and face masks will provided if someone does not have on. Classrooms and high traffic areas are being cleaned and disinfected with increased frequently and procedures to ensure social distancing are in place.
For students who do not have access to a laptop for online classes, the college is distributing Chromebooks for students to borrow for the semester.
