GFWC Glendale Woman's Club ends month celebrating

The GFWC Glendale Woman's Club finishes August with a pair of events at its headquarters, 7032 N. 56th Ave.

Those events are:

  • A Women's Equality Day lunch and learn celebration will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26 Doors open at 11:30 for the social and lunch is served at noon. The program topic is "Women Who Won the Vote." Those looking to get involved more in the community, make new friends or form lasting connections, this event is a chance to gather to celebrate the valiant women of the vote. Only a few spots remain, so reserve a place by calling 623-931-7032.
  • Let's Taco Bout it night will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Doors open at 5 for a social hour/taco bar (while supplies last), followed by conversation on what's happening in the world of General Federation Women's Clubs. Founded in 1890, GFWC is as one of the oldest all women’s volunteer organizations. GFWC aims to foster inclusive, equitable climates and cultures where all community members can thrive, uniting people of diverse backgrounds to change lives globally.  RSVP for this event this weekend at this link
