Cushman-Wakefield sells Glendale hotel for nearly $24 million

Chicago group acquires Westgate property

Cushman & Wakefield announced March 14 that the firm has brokered the sale of the 100-room Aloft Glendale at Westgate hotel in Glendale.

The four-story hospitality asset at 6920 N 93rd Ave., was acquired by Chicago-based Bradford Allen Hospitality Investments. The property sold for $23.75 million.

Bill Murney with Cushman & Wakefield’s Hospitality team in Phoenix represented the seller, HCW Hospitality & Development, in the transaction.

“This is a highly desirable hospitality location in the Westgate Entertainment District. The hotel sits just steps from State Farm Stadium, Desert Diamond Arena, home to sports and concerts year round, shopping and entertainment destinations such as Tanger Outlets, AMC theater and Chicken & Pickle, and more surround the hotel,” Executive Managing Director Bill Murney stated in a press release.

Guest rooms at the Aloft Glendale at Westgate hotel feature lofty nine-foot ceilings, platform beds, LCD TVs, and walk-in showers. The hotel also features several on-site amenities and social spaces, including business meeting space, Re:charge gym, outdoor Splash pool, urban-inspired WXYZ BAR, and a convenience store

Bradford Allen is a national full-service real estate firm. Since launching its hospitality platform in 2022, Bradford Allen has acquired six hotels totaling 800 keys.

"With the Phoenix metro continuing its growth trajectory and Glendale – which has hosted multiple Super Bowls and is the site of the NCAA Final Four in April – as an epicenter of commercial activity, this acquisition further bolsters the firm’s strategy to acquire high-quality hotels in experience-driven markets,” stated Aghfar Arun, director, Bradford Allen, in a press release. “The Aloft presents a unique opportunity to build on the success we’ve achieved at TownePlace Suites Glendale, complementing the extended-stay offering there with a distinctive select-service product and robust amenities package while leveraging Marriott’s industry-leading booking platform.”

Murney also brokered the sale of the 143-room Aloft Phoenix-Airport hotel in Phoenix last summer.
