College students from Glendale earn academic honors

Several college students that are from Glendale recently earned academic awards in college. They are:

• Jennalee Wilson of Glendale was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Wilson was initiated at Northern Arizona University. She is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

• Taylor Davis of Glendale earned a spot on the Deans’ Honor Roll for the fall 2023 semester at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
The honor roll requires a minimum grade-point average of 3.60 for the semester.

• Luke Deal from Glendale was named to the Biola University Dean’s List in fall 2023. Deal is majoring in political science at the Christian university in La Mirada, Calif. The dean’s list honors those with a GPA of 3.6 or above.
• Nicholas Murphy of Glendale received a master’s degree in geological engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla during commencement ceremonies in December.
