Las Colinas Golf Club is celebrating its new ownership and a remodeled golf course.

The golf club held a ribbon cutting on Friday, Feb. 2. The club is located at 21515 E. Village Loop Road N.

Attending the event were the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley, Queen Creek Vice Mayor Leah Martineau, and Queen Creek Council Members Jeff Brown and Bryan McClure,

Las Colinas Golf Club features a driving range and a practice putting green that are open to the public. Memberships are available for purchase. The practice putting green is complimentary to all guests and no tee times are required to use. The club also offers golf instruction for juniors and adults.

“I want to thank everyone for coming out to our grand opening of Las Colinas Golf Club. We’re pleased to be part of AZ Golf Ventures and I know we’re going to be a great partner here in Queen Creek,” stated Bernie Blan, director of operations for Las Colinas Golf Club, in a press release, “We got some great plans out here, our golf course has never been better. We’re going to bring Toptracer out to the driving range, new carts coming in, and lots of summer leagues.”

The restaurant at the club, Social Birdie, held its grand opening celebration along with the course.

Social Birdie has a full brunch and dinner menu with hand-crafted entrees and cocktails. Executive Chef Vincent Contreras brings more than 20 years of professional culinary experience. The restaurant has patio seating complete with fire pits and a view of the golf course and the San Tan Mountains.

“We want to thank everyone for being here, especially the town of Queen Creek Council and the chamber. We’re really excited. This was an old building not used to its full potential and it’s a central location in the center of town,” stated Social Birdie’s owner Ken Danielson in the release.

Social Birdie is open to the public.
