The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center has opened its doors following the completion of a renovation project.
Since opening in 2003, the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center has hosted concerts, performing arts and cultural events for the community, and for its 20th anniversary, it was remodeled to accommodate a new generation of performers and patrons, a press release stated.
The remodel included updating the appearance of the auditorium, replacing sound panels and installing new house seats.
In August, a VIP grand reveal was hosted at the center for stakeholders that included representatives from the town of Queen Creek, the Queen Creek Cultural Foundation and the Queen Creek Unified School District Governing Board, the release stated.
“For 20 years, this center has been able to impact students (and) community members, and inspire a love of the arts,” Queen Creek Performing Arts Center Director Molly Jacobs stated in the release. “We are so thankful for the generosity and support of the Gail and Pam Barney Foundation, QCUSD, the town of Queen Creek and the Queen Creek Cultural Foundation for the continued partnership in keeping the arts soaring in our community.”
This remodel was made possible through bond money and donations from supporters of the Queen Creek Cultural Foundation, the release added.
