Grandparents carnival returns to Florence

Posted

Families are invited to attend this year’s Grandparent’s Night Indoor Carnival hosted by the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center.

The carnival takes place from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5 at the senior center, 330 N. Pinal St.

Each year, the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center decks itself out in carnival gear to welcome grandparents and their grandchildren – regardless of their ages.

Attendees can play a variety of carnival games and enjoy popcorn, hot dogs, nachos and more.

The first carnival was held in 2022 and attracted more than 300 people.

The center is closed on the day of the event so staff and volunteers can set up the games and decorate the center. The games wind their way throughout the center, so almost the entire building is in use.

Tickets for the carnival are $10 for a grandparent and $5 for a grandchild under the age of 18. Additional tickets are $5 per person. The ticket price covers all games and food.

To register, call the Dorothy Nolan Center at 520-868-7622.
