The town of Florence has announced that this year's Hometown Holiday Parade will take place on Dec 6, in Historic Downtown.

The town of Florence is starting to gear up for its annual holiday celebrations.
Florence has announced that this year's Hometown Holiday Parade is set for Friday, Dec. 6, on Eighth and Main streets.
Along with the parade, the event will include the lighting of Main Street, food, inflatables, snow and music.
The Florence Parks and Recreation Department is encouraging civic groups, businesses or families to participate in the parade. There is no fee to take part.
Those interested can start registering at https://bit.ly/3zfDjCr. The registration deadline is Sunday, Nov. 17.
On Tuesday, the town put out a call for participants interested in taking part in Fright Fest 2024 on Thursday, Oct. 31, and the 92nd Annual Junior Parada Parade on Saturday, Nov. 30.
Those interested in hosting a trunk or space at Fright Fest can register as a business/organization or individual/family.
The deadline to register for Fright Fest 2024 is Sunday, Oct. 13.
For the Junior Parada Parade, the town is seeking equestrian entries, royal courts, marching bands, bands, family entries and organizations. If you would like to participate in the parade visit https://bit.ly/3RH7pVE.
The deadline to register for the 92nd Annual Junior Parada Parade is Sunday, Nov. 17.
