Agua Fria high school district adds grab-and-go pickup sites

Beginning Monday, March 30, Agua Fria Union High School District will deliver free grab-and-go meals to families of children ages 18 and younger at 11 sites throughout the district to augument pickup sites being served by Avondale and Litchfield elementary school districts.
The service is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s meal program, and each bag contains breakfast and lunch prepared in one of the district’s kitchens. Families do not need to register to pick up meals and there is no income requirement. Children must be present to pick up meals, however.
Sites launching Monday include:
Avondale
Park at Granada Road between 125th and 124th Drive, 11:10-11:25 a.m.
Santa Fe Trail between Cambridge and Windsor, 11:45 a.m.- 12:05 p.m.
Park on 4th Avenue just south of Western, 12:30-12:50 p.m.
Riley Drive just east of 6th Street, 1:10-1:35 p.m.
Goodyear
Greenbelt at 164th Lane between Roosevelt and Baden, 11-11:30 a.m.
167th Ave and Melvin Street, 11:50 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Park at S. Village Boulevard and Anasazi Street, 12:30-12:50 p.m.
Wildflower Drive and W. Adams St., 11:10-11:30 a.m.
Shooting Star Drive and W Tonto St., 11:45 a.m.-12:10 p.m.
157th Avenue and W. Sonora St., 12:25-12:45 p.m.
Park at 153rd Avenue between Morning Glory and Madison streets, 1- 1:20 p.m.
Meals will be distributed at each site weekdays while schools are closed due to COVID-19.
