Eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed between Gilbert and Williams Field roads from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time while a closure is in place for the Loop 202 Santan Freeway, Loop 101 to Val Vista Drive widening project.
Eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed between Gilbert and Williams Field roads from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26. The following ramps also will be closed: The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Arizona Avenue, McQueen and Cooper roads.
Detour: Motorists traveling east on Loop 202 may consider exiting ahead of the closure and use Pecos or Germann roads.
Weeknight lane restrictions:
Eastbound Loop 202 will be narrowed to two lanes nightly between Lindsay Road and Val Vista Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, and Tuesday, Aug. 27 nights.
There will be no scheduled closures over Labor Day weekend.
Sept. 6-9 upcoming weekend closure: Westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed between Williams Field Road and Gilbert Road from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
ADOT urges drivers to plan ahead for detours and travel delays; slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
