The 2024 primary and general elections in Chandler will take place July 30 and Nov. 5, respectively.

The Chandler City Council recently approved an ordinance designating the dates. Earlier this month, Gov. Katie Hobbs signed House Bill 2785, which officially changed the date of the 2024 primary from Aug. 6 to July 30.

The July 30 primary in Chandler will  take place to elect three members of the city council. If needed, there will be a runoff on Nov. 5.

Interested candidates must file the required nomination papers and submit signature petitions before 5 p.m. April 1, according to a release.

The deadline to register to vote in the primary is July 1, and Oct. 7 to be eligible to vote in November.
