Chandler Chamber golf tourney set for Sept. 13

Posted

Friday, Sept. 13 is the date of this year's  Chandler Chamber of Commerce Charity Golf Tournament. Sponsors and volunteers are being actively recruited.

The Ocotillo Golf Club, 3751 S. Clubhouse Drive, Chandler, will be where a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start is scheduled. The tournament raises scholarship funds for the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation to send a select group of students to Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

While the $1,500 general entry is sold out, the $1,700 corporate entry is still available as of Aug. 14.  To register a foursome or for information on volunteering, call 480-963-4571.

Breakfast and beverages will be served on the course. Breakfast and registration start at 6 a.m. The call to carts is at 7 a.m.

There will be raffle prizes, lunch immediately after play, "closest to the pin" and "longest drive" contests, and awards for the lowest-scoring twosome.

Sponsors for tee boxes and holes are sought, as are sponsors for contests and for the general entry fee.

Volunteers are needed to check in players, coordinate prizes, sell raffle tickets and drive sponsors to assigned holes.
