As March is National Reading Month, parents are being sought to bring their kids in to volunteer and read to the Pinal County shelter dogs during business hours for the month of March.
To set up your first day, email animalvolunteer@pinal.gov to get the full details.
Parents must stay with their children and sign in with the public volunteer waiver on each visit.
There will be reading logs for the kids to track their reading hours, but you will need to bring your own books.
The child with the most hours at the end of the month will win a gift card, according to Pinal County’s website.
