A 24-year-old woman was found stabbed to death over the weekend inside a home near 27th and Devonshire avenues, Phoenix police said.
Andrea Casarrubias Romero was found by police after officers responded to a welfare check call about 8:30 a.m. May 5. The caller said he found blood on his driveway that led into his tenant’s portion of the house.
The victim had multiple stab wounds, police said.
Preliminary information suggests Casarrubias Romero was assaulted sometime overnight by a known suspect, police said.
Detectives are following leads as they work to find the suspect, according to a release.
