Lloyd, age 92, of Sun City West, Arizona passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, after a long illness. Lloyd was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 24, 1931.
He graduated from Fenn College (Cleveland State) and Case Western Reserve University. He served two years in the Army at Ft. Benning in Georgia.
He began his professional life as an elementary school teacher and later served for 24 years as principal of Lindsey Elementary School in the West Geauga school system in Northeast Ohio. Loyd was very committed to serving in the community, especially the Burton Middlefield Rotary club where he was a District Governor, through the church, and in numerous leadership roles.
Lloyd was deeply committed to his family. He is survived by his wife, Joan; loving father of Lloyd (Debbie), Kevin (Katherine), and Bryce; has seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Lloyd and Joan moved to Sun City West, Arizona in 2006. He has given us all so much love, guidance, and joy. We are deeply thankful that Lloyd Schill was such a blessed part of our lives.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley as well as Lori Reeder, his special caregiver who became a friend.
Funeral Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375.
