4-month-old girl suffers skull fracture, broken ribs; suspect arrested: Buckeye PD

A 27-year-old man has been arrested after Buckeye police were notified that a 4-month-old girl was brought to a Valley hospital with skull fractures, brain bleeding and broken ribs.

David Roman was arrested at a Buckeye home on child abuse charges, police said.

On March 13, Buckeye police were notified the girl was taken to a hospital with the injuries, and detectives with the Buckeye Police Special Victims Unit learned the child had been in Roman’s care before the injuries were observed, according to a release from the Buckeye Police Department.

“After multiple medical exams and tests were conducted, it was determined the baby girl’s injuries were not accidental,” the release stated.

Detectives arrested Roman yesterday and booked him on several counts of child abuse and endangerment, authorities said.
