The Hillcrest Dance & Social Club recognized six individuals for outstanding volunteer efforts. The club’s leadership consists of all volunteers and many people have gone beyond the call of duty to render the club successful.

Dances take place at the R.H. Johnson Social Center, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West, every Saturday night, beginning with optional, free dance lessons (with paid admission) at 6:15 p.m., followed by live music 7-9:30 p.m. performed by the following groups: The Breeze (Feb. 23) (preceded by a membership meeting at 5:30 p.m.), Bobby Freeman & Charlene (March 2), and Michael & Manuel (March 9).

A St. Patrick’s Theme Dance follows on March 16. This night will take place at the Palm Ridge Rec Center, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive, and will feature the five-piece band Soul Impression, and will offer a variety of dancing music including ballroom, country western and Latin.
