Arts HQ Gallery to host ‘pop-up’ holiday gift shop, special holiday hours in Surprise

The West Valley Arts Council announced they will host a pop-up market 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Arts HQ Gallery, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza, Surprise.

The market will take over the retail and gallery and be filled with handmade gifts produced by local artists, including unique jewelry, hand-printed silk scarves, glass work, small paintings, hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery, according to a press release from the nonprofit group.

Pottery from WHAM’s Bowls of Hope program, which benefits a local food bank, will also be available with other one-of-a-kind gifts varying in price from $5 to $300.

Visitors may also view and purchase work from the Arts Roster Exhibit highlighting the West Valley Arts Council’s member artists and featuring the work of Betty Shults. The exhibit is on display until Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2019.

Extended Arts HQ Gallery holiday hours include: 10 a.m. -8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14; 10 a.m. -7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20; and 10 a.m. -7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21.

Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
