FESTIVAL: The 8th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic goes 4-8 p.m. at Goodyear Ballpark, 1933 S. Ballpark Way. The three-day event features hot air balloon rides, family fun zone, hot air balloon tether rides, fireworks (Saturday only) and festival foods. $15 at the gate. THEATER: “GreyStone” performs 7 p.m. at Acting Zone at Montessori in the Park’s youth theater, at 1832 N. Litchfield Road, in Goodyear. The teen drama is directed by Jim Gradillas and Michelle Marie. EVENT: Escape the Research Chamber goes 6-9 p.m. at Goodyear Library, 14455 W. Van Buren, Suite C-101, Goodyear. Visitors and up to 11 friends have been abducted for human experimentation by the Jefferson Institute of Research. The scientists have been distracted by a gas leak elsewhere in the lab, and have left you unattended. Now’s your chance to escape, but can you and your colleagues solve the puzzles and figure out the clues in 45 minutes, before the scientists return? Registration Required. FISHING: Gather up the kids, pack a picnic, fishing poles and join in the great fishing with 750 pounds of trout (8 to 17 inches long) stocked in the Tierra Verde Lake for the Kiwanis Litchfield Park Winter Trout Derby, 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m., at Tierra Verde Lake Park, 301 S. Old Litchfield Road. A fishing license is not required for the day of fishing. Cost is $4 per pole, ages 15 and younger, $6 per pole, ages 16 and older, $6 for adults. Call 623-935-9040.

LIVE MUSIC: The PebbleRock Band performs its classic rock covers 3-5 p.m. in the Arts in the Park Outdoor Concert Series on The Wigwam Resort Front Lawn, 300 Wigwam Blvd. Concertgoers should bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
