El Dorado of Sun City resident Dr. Jeanne Blanchet was recently named an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award winner for her contribution to the field of creative arts.

The award is conferred by the Marquis Who’s Who biographical society and is an honor reserved for biographers who have demonstrated 20 or more years of leadership in their respective industries and professions.

Dr. Blanchet, who has been featured in Marquis Who’s Who in America since 1988, is an artist, lecturer, composer and author. She has written over 15 books, including three full-length novels. Her latest work of historical fiction (“Cursed: A Novel of Bravery and Betrayal in Rome’s Final Century”) is scheduled for publication in early January.

Since 1899, Marquis Who’s Who has remained the standard for reliable and comprehensive biographical data. Each year, the organization strives to continue the tradition established by founder Albert Nelson Marquis more than 115 years ago with the first publication of Who’s Who in America.
