Peoria barbecue event to benefit first responders

Arrowhead Harley-Davidson, 16130 N. Arrowhead Fountains Center Drive, invites all EMS, police, firefighters, their friends, their family, and all residents who support them to the First Responder Appreciation Day 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

All riders and non-riders are welcome. Arrowhead Harley-Davidson will provide free barbecue, free cake, a free bike wash, raffles, and free Mr. Softee ice cream. All donations and 100 percent of the raffle proceeds from the event will benefit the Peoria Police Citizens Academy Alumni.

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will also be at the event hosting an on-site blood drive.

All first responders who show ID will get a free gift and 15 percent off Harley-Davidson licensed merchandise.

Arrowhead Harley in July hosted a charity car and bike show that raised $760 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
