Seeks advice on backyard landscaping

A local homeowner seeks advice on social media about landscaping her backyard.

Alright neighbors; our pool has been dug and we’re on to the next step. However, we are at a loss on what to do for our landscaping. We know we want some grass, but that’s all we know … lol. Can I see pics of your pool or backyards? Needing some inspiration. Thanks! — AshleyCastronova

Plant palms

Mexican pigmy palms don’t drop leaves into the pool. Big pots with drips behind pool to put lantana in. — Rosie Tuttle

Don’t plant anything like palo verde close to your pool or anything that might throw seeds. You could have algae problem. — Annie Martínez

Leave it

Stay away from oleanders. Those were in our backyard when we moved in and we have leaves in our pool all the time from them. — Tara Muldner
