Nominations opens for 2019 Swaggies Awards

The Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce has kicked off with a call for nominations for The Swaggies awards. The nomination period will run until May 10.

The awards will be presented at the Southwest Valley Awards Gala 6 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Wigwam Arizona in Litchfield Park. This event is the most prestigious business awards ceremony in the region.

Southwest Valley Chamber and its members will recognize the businesses, organizations, and individuals who have made a positive impact in business and the community. There are five award categories:

  • Excellence in Business Award
  • Emerging Business Award
  • Spirit of the Chamber Award
  • Community Impact Award
  • Icon Award

“The awards gala includes a lively and fun reception, delicious dinner, and always some surprises,” said John Safin, President and CEO of the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We’re glad Sean McLaughlin from CBS 5 is back as our emcee. This is a ‘must attend’ event for the community.”

Everyone is welcome to make a nomination. To be considered, the nominee must be a Southwest Valley Chamber member in good standing. The award categories and descriptions are available at SouthwestValleyChamber.org.
