Daughters deliver donations to VA center

Members of the Sun City Agua Fria Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution delivered donations of white socks, toothbrushes, decks of playing cards and more to the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System, 500 AZ- 89, Prescott.

The VA center relies on donations distributed to the Community Living Center (long-term nursing care), Domicillary ( rehab center) and the hospital. Many organizations, clubs and individuals provide donations to the center.

One objective of the NSDAR organization, which encompasses chapters from all 50 states and overseas chapters, is to support the American veterans. Agua Fria Chapter NSDAR will accept donations from the chapter daughters for the Prescott VA Center from October through May 2019. The collected donations will be deliveredin the summer of 2019.

The Agua Fria Chapter NSDAR October chapter meeting will focus on donations for the Phoenix non- profi t Justa Center, a day resource center for seniors age 55 and older who are homeless in the metro Phoenix area. Sixty percent of these senior homeless are veterans.
