Food Truck Festival back for another Sunday round

Country music from the Dirt Road Kings on stage

Sunday in the Park Food Truck Festival goes noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave., and features live music by Dirt Road Kings.

Dirt Road Kings is a country/classic/Southern rock cover band from Surprise, and consists of Sean Speer (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Micael Sixtensson (lead guitar), Kevin Kerr (drums, backing vocals), Jim Connors (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Don Howell (bass).

“Brought together by significant others and mutual friends, the Dirt Road Kings bring a fun and energetic performance to the Valley,” the band states on its website. “Performing today’s top country hits and a variety of other well known cover songs, the Dirt Road Kings offer something everyone will love.”

The City of Surprise has partnered with State 48 Brewery to transform Second Sundays in the Park into the Second Sundays Food Truck Festival – a free, family-fun fete featuring food trucks, live bands and a State 48 Brewery beer tent.
