Dear Surprise Today editor:

Read Chris’s letter regarding needing more restaurants in the Surprise area, and do agree (“Wants more restaurants, less fast food,” Surprise Today, June 20, 2018).

Yes, Chris, Cracker Barrel is still around. There is one near University of Phoenix stadium and I think one around Arrowhead Mall.

However. Marie Calendars has gone out of business and the last one to close locally was the one located on Northern Avenue near the Interstate 17. I would like to see a Spinato’s restaurant and Black Angus here, though.
