For months now recruitment has flourished as volunteers continue to join the Posse and take on the uniform of solidarity that represents community service.

Also, for the past few months, we have been focusing on those men and women who spend hours, days and months as members of the Sun City Posse. This month we are featuring 10 more volunteers who give willingly of their time so that Sun City remains a safe place to call home.

John Gerlach joined the Posse in 2017 and wears several hats, including serving as master sergeant of traffic. He also patrols the streets and serves in the Posse Color Guard and on the Safety Committee.

Courtney Galura first joined the Posse in 2013 as a patrol officer. Now she serves as a duty officer in addition to her patrol duties. She also is a member of the Color Guard.

Vicki Foelsch has been a member since 2007 and is the lieutenant of District 1. She also can be seen patrolling her district and is a member of the Board of Governors.

John Ferrone joined in 2017 as a patrol officer.

Also in 2017, Lewis Ezsak joined as a patrol officer and member of the Color Guard, while Cynthia Ezsak, who also became a member in 2017, volunteers to answer telephones in the dispatch office.

Gennie Evans became a member of the Posse in 2004 as a dispatcher and patrol and duty officer. Last year, she changed her status to associate member and serves in the dispatch department.

Bernie Drews is another volunteer who joined in 2017 as an associate answering telephones in the dispatch office.

Betty Donaldson joined the Posse in 2014. Her duties include welcoming visitors to the Posse headquarters, 10861 W Sunland Drive. She also answers telephones in the dispatch department.

This month’s final member is Charles Dills, who joined in 2014 as a patrol officer. He also is a familiar face at the Sun Bowl concerts where he helps direct traffic.
