Sun Life Magazine covers Arizona active adult lifestyle living, mainly circulating in the communities of Arizona Traditions, Blackstone, Corte Bella, Pebble Creek, Sun City, Sun City Festival, Sun City West and Sun Village. Sun Life Magazine’s local and broad content appeals to the vibrant and exciting lives of West Valley residents, focusing on positive news and in-depth features.

Sun Life Magazine founded in 1984 by Jerry Svendsen, former public relations vice president for Del E. Webb Corp., and his wife Linda as Sun Cities Life. The magazine’s name later changed to Sun Life with the addition of deliveries to adjoining adult communities. The Svendsens sold the publication to Phyllis Brown in September of 2000. Independent Newsmedia purchased the publication in the summer of 2013.

Independent Newsmedia owns nine newspapers and websites in the Phoenix-metro area as well as the popular daily newspaper, the Daily News-Sun. The company also owns Phoenix-based Valley Newspapers, a printing facility where they print more dozens of newspapers and products, and newspapers in Delaware, Florida and Maryland
