The Sun City West Pickleball Club hosted international champion Jennifer Lucore and her father, longtime tennis and pickleball coach Bob Youngren, for a seminar and clinic.

Forty members of the club signed up for the seminar, which was followed by a sold-out clinic on the Liberty pickleball courts at the Palm Ridge Recreation Center, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive.

Jennifer and Bob kept students laughing as they learned, incorporating fun into fundamentals. Jennifer also signed copies of her new book, “History of Pickleball: 50 Years of Fun!”.

Jennifer Lucore is a professional player and a global pickleball ambassador. Her numerous gold medal championships include 17-time USAPA Nationals, 11-time Canadian Nationals, six-time Huntsman World Senior Games, four-time International Tournaments, four-time Tournament of Champions, and many golds at both the US Open Pickleball Championships and Professional Pickleball Federation (PPF) tournaments.

The Pickleball Club is volunteer driven, and all members share in many volunteer opportunities available to them, whether they are year-round residents or winter visitors. All members are encouraged to inquire about the simple and fun volunteer opportunities available.

If you would like to join the club by volunteering an hour or more of your time at one of a social event, contact Mykee at scwpbvolunteers@gmail.com .
