Turn around – don’t drown.

What many of us don’t realize is that living in our desert area we often have serious flooding even when it hasn’t rained where we are.

Also, what appears to be small amount of water running across a roadway can present serious problems.

First, in addition to the pressure of the flowing water, there are rocks, limbs and other debris flowing along that can cause a vehicle to lose traction. Secondly, there be large potholes or other openings in the roadway caused by the flooding that can’t be seen.

It’s easy to avoid getting caught in these dangerous situations.

Don’t try to cross a flooded roadway.
