Rec Center walkways being replaced
Decomposed granite walkways at the R.H. Johnson Rec Center are being replaced with concrete
The winding decomposed granite sidewalks in front of the R.H. Johnson Recreation Center will be changed to concrete, beginning Monday, Feb. 11.
The project will be done in segments so facility access won’t be impacted.
Many residents complained the small stones of the decomposed granite stuck to their shoes and were tracked into facilities—including the Sports Pavilion bowling alley area.
Residents are warned not to cross the caution tapes during the process.
