Peoria chamber announces date change of awards dinner

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Peoria Chamber of Commerce has been forced to push the date of their 99th Anniversary & Community Awards Dinner back one week, to Wednesday, June 27.

This year’s event is at Chamber member Palmbrook Country Club, 9350 W. Greenway Road. The evening will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature live music and several special guests.

The event has a sports theme this year with guests being encouraged to wear their favorite sports team attire. The dinner will feature multiple “concession” areas where guests can select from various types of food and snacks. Desserts will feature a sampling of Nothing Bundt Cakes pastries. A cash bar will also be available.

There will be photo opportunities with professional team mascots; one confirmed special guest is Howler from the Arizona Coyotes. The live band for the evening is The VonZipper, a classic hits cover band.

Included in the evening will be the annual presentation of Community Awards to individuals and businesses who have made contributions to the Peoria community in the last year.
