A group of retirees form a cheerleading squad at their active adult community and hilarity ensues … at least we can hope. Diane Keaton (Annie Hall, The Godfather) anchors an all-star cast in this life-may-imitate-art production, which features support from Pam Grier (Foxy Brown, Jackie Brown) and Rhea Perlman (Cheers, Matilda).

 

The Hustle (2019)

Nope … not the 2009 comedy vehicle of the late Charlie Murphy and Doctor Dre; this Hustle stars Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables, The Dark Knight Rises) and Rebel Wilson (Brides Maids, Pitch Perfect) and shares the story of a pair of scam artists who team up to take revenge on the bad men in their lives, including a supporting performance from Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs).

This drama tells the story of a young J.R.R. Tolkien (Nicholas Hoult – Mad Max: Fury Road, Warm Bodies) in his boys’ school days during World War II. Helmed by Finnish director Dome Karukoski, the biopic also features Star Trek alum Colm Meaney (Under Siege, Layer Cake).

 

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

The Harkins Tuesday Night Classics series this week features the first of the Fast and Furious series, which tells the story of an L.A. cop who goes undercover to bust a gang of street racers. The action flick stars the late Paul Walker (Varsity Blues, Pleasantville), Vin Diesel (Saving Private Ryan, Riddick) and Michelle Rodriguez (Resident Evil, Machete).

Inspired by the book written by Karlene Faith, the film tells the story of Leslie Van Houten (Hannah Murray – Game of Thrones, Detroit), one of the Manson Family members arrested and convicted for 1969 the murder of actress Sharon Tate and others. Matt Smith (Doctor Who, Terminator Genisys) takes a surprising turn as the psychopathic Manson in this biographical crime drama.
