Editor’s note (7/16): The intersection was corrected to Peoria and 51st avenues, not Glendale Avenue.
A woman who was behind the wheel of a vehicle involved in a collision in 2016 was jailed after a grand jury found enough evidence to charge her in the death of one of the drivers.
Jodie Eileen Ramsey, 24, was booked into jail Wednesday on one count each of manslaughter, endangerment and aggravated assault.
She is connected to a collision near 51st and Peoria avenues on Dec. 7, 2016, according to reports.
Ms. Ramsey was identified as the driver of an SUV, with Poe Glay the driver of a red sedan. Both had one passenger.
Authorities said a red sedan was traveling eastbound when it collided with an SUV around 2 a.m.
At the time, Ms. Ramsey showed signs of impairment, according to Glendale police.
All four people were taken to the hospital. Mr. Glay, 45, of Phoenix, later died. The others sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Court records show she was arrested in Avondale on July 11.
Ms. Ramsey has an arraignment hearing July 19.
