Getaway driver in Peoria, Sun City robberies self-surrenders
Police arrested a man wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies in Peoria and Sun City this summer.
Jevon T. Mason, 43, of Surprise self-surrendered to law enforcement in the area of 2700 West Claremont Street in Phoenix around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Police had alerted the public of Mr. Mason’s role as a getaway driver in two of three bank robberies in September.
Mr. Mason was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on aggravated robbery charges.
Police had already arrested Charles Ross, the suspected robber in the crimes.
