A Goodyear woman is in jail in connection with driving the wrong way onto a freeway in Surprise, in total hitting two vehicles.
According to the Department of Public Safety, 54-year-old Karen R. Krapp was the woman officials arrested Thursday night for two collisions near the Loop 303 and Bell Road.
The Surprise Police Department, which took the first call, responded to a non-injury collision around 10:20 p.m. One of the drivers, later identified as Ms. Krapp, continued onto Loop 303 traveling in the wrong direction.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety took over the incident, including getting the vehicle stopped.

DPS said Ms. Krapp entered the southbound offramp at Bell Road, where it struck another vehicle. DPS said a person in the rightway vehicle sustained minor injuries but was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Some witnesses were able to provide a location of the vehicle after it left the scene. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office caught up with the vehicle near Grand Avenue and the Loop 303.
Troopers continued the investigation and said impairment appeared to be a factor.
Ms. Krapp faces charges including leaving the scene of a collision, endangerment, DUI, and possession of narcotic drugs.
According to Maricopa County court records, a woman by the name of Karen Rene Krapp, also age 54 by listed birthdate, previously pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI back in the early 2000s on two occasions.
She also appeared to have pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for an incident in 2001. Judgment was deferred in that case.
She spent time in prison from 2006 to 2010 for the aggravated DUI charge, Arizona Department of Corrections records show.
A request for a Form IV document regarding the incident has not been returned.
