Surprise police arrest man connected to robbery at store bank

Surprise police have arrested a man in connection with a bank robbery earlier this week inside a grocery store.

Police report David Loera, of Surprise, was taken into custody Thursday.

Around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, the U.S. Bank located inside the Safeway near Litchfield and Waddell roads was robbed.

Police said a man entered the store, approached the bank teller and presented a note demanding money.

He was not armed during the incident.

Mr. Loera was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of robbery.
