Missing man from Litchfield Park has been found

NEW: Authorities on Wednesday, May 8 said John Pfeiffer was found and is safe, canceling a Silver Alert issued Monday.


A Silver Alert has been issued for a Litchfield Park man who may have driven to Payson.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said John Pfeiffer, 80, was last seen leaving his home in Litchfield Park around 3 p.m. Sunday to go to the Circle K near Dysart Road and Glendale Avenue.

However, he never returned.

In its Silver Alert, DPS said the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Mr. Pfeiffer used his credit card in Payson.

Mr. Pfeiffer suffers from memory issues. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall, and has brown eyes and a bald head with white hair along the sides. He was driving a red 2010 Chevrolet Aveo..
