Gunshot victim crashes into building in Glendale

A person is in critical condition after he was shot and then crashed into a building in Glendale.

Police responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road for an unknown disturbance.

Officers arrived and found a male victim who had wrecked his vehicle into a structure. The male had driven himself from the area of 6300 North 64th Drive, where he was shot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with a life-threatening injury.

Nearby schools were momentarily placed on lockdown.

“Currently, we have no outstanding suspects,” police stated. “It is believed the shooter is in custody at this time.”

No further details were known by Friday afternoon.
