Glendale police need the public’s help to identify a kidnapping suspect who dragged a 15-year-old girl into an alley and threatened to kill her.

Around 11 a.m. May 7, the girl was loading her mother’s vehicle outside their apartment near 67th and Maryland avenues when an unknown man approached her.

The suspect grabbed her from behind and then dragged and carried her to a nearby alley while telling her “shut up, or I will kill you.”

Fortunately, the girl kicked and fought her way off the suspect and ran back home to call 911.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction and no vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a shaved or short black hair. He may have a scar on his upper right forehead and his left eyebrow is partially shaved.

He was seen wearing a short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans with a hole in the knee.

A composite sketch of the suspect was provided.

“As this occurred during the daytime hours, we are hoping that someone witnessed the incident and has information to provide that will get this dangerous suspect off the streets,” Glendale police stated.

Anyone with information can call 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.
