Rio Salado College offers free months to new members

New members at Rio Salado College, 12535 W. Smokey Drive, Surprise, will receive four free months (March-June) of membership in addition to the July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020 school year for the price of $65.

No homework and hundreds of non-credit classes are offered in four terms during the year. The spring term began March 11, and registration continuing throughout the term.

RISE classes take place at the Rio Salado campus off Bell Road in front of Benevilla. The RISE Learning for Life program and Rio Salado College have had an ongoing relationship focused on delivering learning opportunities to the residents of the Northwest Valley including, but not limited to, Sun City West, Sun City, Sun City Grand, Peoria, Glendale, Surprise and other communities within Maricopa County.

RISE is a community-based educational organization created by and for adults to afford them the opportunity for stimulation, enlightenment and interaction with peers in an environment that encourages life-long learning. RISE provides non-credit lifelong learning classes within the Rio Salado College campus for $65 per year. Classes have no educational prerequisites and are not for credit. On- line classes through Universal Class are also a part of membership.

Volunteer/teacher/presenters teaching these classes include experts in the fields of natural sciences, judiciary, history/government, health and wellness, the arts, financial, spirituality and religion, technology and many more topics.
