City officials announced public outreach meetings for upcoming proposed developments in Surprise.

The meetings will give residents an opportunity to learn more, ask questions and share concerns about developments in the planning process in their community.

This week, staffers will conduct a meeting about a request for a conditional use permit (case number FS18-463) for a new tool rental center to be added to the Home Depot in the West Pointe Towne Center zoning area northwest of West Pointe Parkway and Bell Road.

The meeting will be hosted 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 in the Conference Room at Home Depot, 13760 W. Bell Road, Surprise.

Later this month, locals will be invited to weigh in on a request to rezone approximately 3.4 acres of land at the northeast corner of 175th Avenue and Cactus Road for a medium-density residential development (case number FS-18-566).

The meeting will be hosted 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16 in the Dance Room at the Sierra Montana Recreation Center, 14861 N. Spring Lane, Surprise.
