Independent Newsmedia
As temperatures hit record highs in the desert, downtown Tempe is ready to help Valley residents cool off with a Christmas in July celebration as part of its popular Park After Dark summer event series.
Join them under the green canopies of cool shady trees at 6th Street Park on July 23 from 7 to 10 p.m.
During the free, family-friendly event, attendees will revel in holiday festivities, complete with photos with Santa, festive giveaways, dancing and a series of jumbo-sized games for kids of all ages.
InSomnia Cookies will be providing free samples, while event goers enjoy outdoor entertainment and a 21-and-over beer and wine garden from Pedal Haus Craft Beer & Wine.
Park After Dark continues its celebrations every second and fourth Saturday of every month through Sept. 24 and includes a rotating lineup of live entertainment, outdoor games, and beer and wine vendors. The event is for all ages and dog friendly.
Throughout the summer event series, attendees can take advantage of the abundance of food and drink options in Downtown Tempe, with 14 options less than a 5-minute walk from 6th Street Park. Guests can order food online and pick it up or have it delivered directly to the park for a nominal fee. A full list of food options is available online at downtowntempe.com/parkafterdark.
