21st Century HealthCare marks 30 years of doing business in Tempe

This year marks the 30th anniversary for 21st Century HealthCare, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of dietary supplements.

Growing from a small local company to a large family of brands in the health and wellness vitamin category, the company’s growth has been driven by their commitment to quality, innovation and value in manufacturing dietary supplements, according to a press release.

A set of core values and sound business principles is what founder and CEO, Steve Snyder, credits with the business he has spent 30 years building.

“We have achieved this special milestone through the hard work and dedication of our employees and our culture that exists throughout the entire organization,” Snyder said in a prepared statement.

Mr. Snyder founded 21st Century HealthCare in August of 1991.

From being “self-employed” at 2,500-square-foot warehouse in Tempe to now whereas 21st Century employees 500 employees and maintains a 300,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution space.

By the end of 2021, the company will once again expand its current footprint an additional 97,000 sq ft to their state-of-the-art facilities.

The culture at 21st Century HealthCare emphasizes the value of employees every day in addition to hosting appreciation events, family picnics and ice cream socials. 21st Century also sponsors the much-anticipated annual carne asada cookout where the employees are served by the executive teams and recognized for their achievements by receiving the coveted 21st Century Recognition in Leadership coin.

Mr. Snyder emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive and balanced work environment for all.

“We have committed ourselves to 30 years of product innovation and manufacturing efficiencies to provide our customers with the highest quality of supplements and service at a great value,” he said.

“Throughout 2021, we will look at where we started and what we have achieved while looking forward to future opportunities. When the time is right, we plan to invite all employees to a fun-filled day of recognizing and celebrating our achievements.”

21st Century proudly supports a variety of non-profit organizations, such as St. Joseph the Worker, Urban Outreach Phoenix, Bobby Nichols Charity Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Sandra Day O’Connor Institute, Rady Children’s Hospital and the American Heart Association.
