WHAM prepares next Poetry Slam night in Surprise
Beginning photography course also this weekend

The next Poetry Slam at WHAM event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 18 at the WHAM Art Center, 16560 N. Dysart Road.
This event features an open mic night for poetry, free verse, and storytelling. All are welcome to participate as performers and/or listeners. Any established or original pieces may be read.
This is a free event and open to the public.

The next morning, WHAM will offer its regular Photography 101 class. It is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 19.
The class is free for WHAM members and $10 for non-members.
This is a beginner’s class for those with a digital camera that don’t know how to operate it. Learn the basics of a camera including the settings, how to download pictures and what software can be used for improving your pictures.
The instructor is photographer David Fudge and the assistant instructor is Roger Fowler.
