USA Baseball sets up shop in Surprise

City of Surprise is set to host one of the top amateur baseball events in the United States. USA Baseball will host its National Team Championships at the Surprise Stadium Complex through July 6.
The USA Baseball National Team Championships are elite championship events which serve as the primary identification for players to be considered for the 15U National Team, as well as the 13U/14U Athlete Development Program and the 16U and 17U National Team Development Programs.
Through these events, USA Baseball provides an opportunity for more than 400 teams to showcase their talents against teams from all across the nation and gives players an opportunity to be selected to represent their country.
The USA Baseball National Team Championships Series began with the Baseball 16U National Team Championships June 15-20.
Still to come are the:
• June 23-28: USA Baseball 17U National Team Championships
• July 1-6: USA Baseball 14U/15U National Team Championships
Daily gate admission is $10 per person and a tournament pass option will be available for each series at $50 per person; children under 12 are free.
At the start of each series, tickets can be purchased on-site at all gates with credit card only. USA Baseball accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Games will take place at the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers practice, located at 15930 N. Bullard Ave.
