Surprise to host veteran workshops on aid, attendance benefits

Posted

The Reveille Foundation will be at the Surprise Resource Center this month to provide information and registration workshops on Veterans Administration Aid & Attendance benefits.

Aid & Attendance benefits are provided to both the veteran service member and the spouse independently, and give additional funding to be used for the purpose of providing home healthcare and long-term care needs for illnesses or injuries unrelated to military service. These benefits are not associated with any disability rating that may have been awarded by the military or Veterans Administration; these are benefits earned by service for at least “one day” during a time of war and are for people over the age of 65.

The workshops will assist eligible veterans and their spouses in filling out the necessary paperwork to file for the benefits.

Participants must attend both workshops in either Session 1 or Session 2:

  • Session 1: 10-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, March 14 and 28
  • Session 2: 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, March 17 and 31

Both sessions take place at the Surprise Resource Center, located on the AZ TechCelerator campus, 12425 W. Bell Road, Suite 124.

To register, contact Pamela Cameron at 602-592-9461 or email pamela@reveillefoundation.org.
