Surprise student takes 1st in online exhibition

West Valley Arts sponsors contest

A Surprise student captured first place in the recently-completed West Valley Arts Council Student Online Exhibition.

Eliseo Miguel of Valley Vista High School, 15550 N. Parkview Place, received first place honors with a colored pencil and ink drawing entitled “Save the Turtles.”

The exhibition was open to all students 13-21 years old. All artwork juried into the exhibition are is welcome — but not required — to be for sale.

The West Valley Arts Council is located at 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza, Suite 102.

A West Valley Arts Members Exhibit is currently being exhibited through Friday, July 10.
