Surprise state of city video delayed until April 15

City of Surprise officials have set a time to unveil the 2020 State of the City video presentation.

After the cancelation of the State of the City celebration that was supposed to take place March 26, city officials will releae the video at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 on Surprise TV, at surpriseaz.gov/surprisetv and via Facebook Live on the city of Surprise Facebook page.

The video will cover significant achievements of the city during its first 60 years of incorporation.

In a news release, the city wrote: “As our community faces unprecedented challenges during this time, the city feels it is important to deliver this message of where we’ve been and who we are — united, strong and resilient.”

The State of the City video premiere will be carried live, and the video will be rebroadcast on Surprise TV and on its website.

Here are upcoming public meetings held in Surprise. Note regular city meetings only be viewed via SurpriseTV, at Surpriseaz.org and YouTube for safety from the coronavirus. Also, all city council community meetings have been temporarily suspended.
