Groups offer help with moving

Residents in the West Valley now have a place to turn to when they need help moving or relocating.

AZ Moving Consultants, LLC and a branch office of West USA Realty, Inc., opened their doors July 18 at the Crossroads Towne Center at 12851 W. Bell Road, Suite 126.

Owners Ray and Lynn Bennett and Carolyn Pinkney, all licensed real estate agents with West USA Realty, came up with the idea of becoming certified senior move managers through the National Association of Senior Move Managers, and opening a place where people can come in to get assistance with moving coordination.

“It’s hard coordinating moving when you have no one to help,” said Senior Move Manager Lynn Bennett. “With all the scams out there, you don’t know who to trust, who’s licensed, who’s not. You don’t want strangers going through your home. We will do all the coordination for you so you don’t have to worry about being scammed or even robbed. As Realtors, we see it all the time and want to help in every way possible.”

Services include providing resources for estate sale companies, attorneys, senior living communities, staging professionals, bank and trust officers and overseeing the hiring of movers.
Senior Move Managers are professionals who specialize in assisting older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation and/or “aging in place.”

For those aging in place maybe they just need help with decluttering, organizing or disposal of unwanted items.

“And if you also need a Realtor to sell your house, we can do that, too. We are a one-stop shop that takes the worry out of transition and relocation.”

Bennett adds that selling the house is not a requisite and that they will be working with other real estate agents, helping their clients as well.
